Pediatric Pediatric Dental Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic dental assistant who is crazy about kids. Our Pediatric Dental Assistant functions as a chairside assistant providing clinical support by performing various tasks as instructed by a licensed dentist. The well-qualified candidate will be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and compassionately. Office hours are M-Th, 8:00-5:00, with occasional early morning and weekend duties.
Responsibilities
Four-handed assisting, including duties at outpatient surgical facilities
Recording medical and dental histories and vital signs
Maintaining medical and office equipment and facilities
Exposing and mounting diagnostic radiographs
Updating and maintaining patient records in practice software
Conducting work in compliance with office policies and OSHA/MSDS standards
Assisting caregivers and patients in understanding care plans and postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist
Educating caregivers about oral health and home habits
Managing supplies
Requirements:
Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
Utah Radiology Certification
Computer savvy
Exceptional organizational and detail oriented habits
